A good man is hard to find

This is second semester doing blogs for Sweeney's English class. I did not keep up with my blogs because I got pretty busy with work and my social life. I am kind of excited that I am doing these again! Knowing that I have to helps me with it also so i can pass my class. So far we have read a couple stories, one was "A Good Man is Hard to Find." This story was one of my favorite that we have read so far. It was not as complicated to read than some of the other readings and it had a good story to it. The main characters were Bailey, Grandmother, Baileys mother and the Misfit. It started out that this little family wanted to go on a vacation. Bailey and his mother wanted to go to Florida but his grandmother wanted to go to Tennessee because a dangerous killer lived in Florida. Bailey shrugged his grandmothers warning off and decided they were going to Florida anyways. His grandmother went along with them and also brought her cat on the vacation. They got to Florida in one piece but still had some ways to go to get to their destination. They stopped at a barbecue place to grab something to eat and they talked for a while. They finally left the restaurant and continued to their destination. The grandmother told them about a house that had secret tunnels that was near where they were driving. Everyone had never seen a house like that and wanted to go see. They turned off on a bumpy rock road seeking this house that their grandmother told them about. While they were driving on the road, the grandma realized that the house she spoke of was in a completely different state! She did not tell anyone for reasons unknown. Still on this creepy road,  the cat freaked out and jumped on Bailey and he wrecked the car into a tree. Moments later a mysterious car pulled up next to them. When the man got out the car the grandma recognized him as the Misfit! He was with some other men who seemed very intimidating. They took Bailey and his mother into the woods and shot and killed them. The Misfit looked at the grandmother who then started pleading for her life. She was telling him about Jesus and just for a moment the Misfit looked as if he would spare her life. She touched him on the shoulder and he turned and shot her three times. At the end of the story he seemed as if he was upset about killing people and wanted to change. This was a story that is telling you to be kind especially to your family. No one ever knows when their last moment on earth will be so you need to live it in a kind way. I hope this helped out some people who had trouble with the story!
